Maori club to perform for Queen
PA Wellington The Patea Maori Club will perform before the Queen at a royal gala performance in Edinburgh on July 3. The club co-ordinator, Mr Dalvanius Prime, has said the club would have to raise about $75,000 to send 30 performers for the sevenminute performance requested by gala organisers. Funds from the concert will go towards the Edinburgh Commonwealth Games.
The chart-topping music group would seek finance from Government departments and private-sponsor-ship, Mr Prime said.
