N.Z. Universities wins soccer
NZPA-AAP Canberra The New Zealand Universities men’s soccer team defeated the University of New South Wales 2-0 in the New Zealanders’ first match of a seven-match tour here today. The half time score was 0-0. The New Zealand manager,
Bevan Clement, said Matthew Cantwell scored for New Zealand and the other goal was an own goal by N.S.W. The New Zealanders will play two tests against a combined Australian Universities team in Canberra during the tour — on Wednesday this week and on May 19.
