Cyclist beats 1hr in time trial
Alan Roxburgh was the only senior rider to break one hour in winning the Healing Papanui club’s 40km time trial cycling championship at East Eyreton on Saturday. Roxburgh recorded a time of 59min 435, just 10s faster than the winner of the veterans’ race, Alan Hood, who had the second fastest time of the day. Hood had won the national veterans time trial for the third successive year in Wellington the previous week-end.
