Girl dies after dream trip
PA Ashburton Amber Lowrie, the Ashburton girl, aged four, whose dream to see Mickey Mouse and Disneyland came true, died at her home yesterday morning.
Amber was born with the incurable illness, cystic fibrosis, which causes breathing difficulties and breaks down resistance to illness. Her mother, Mrs Gail
Lowrie, said yesterday that Amber had not been well and her small body had given under the strain of the disease. She died of heart failure.
