Hammer found
A man is in Christchurch Hospital with injuries to the face after what the police describe as a gang-related incident in Cathedral Square about 4.20 p.m. yesterday. Three men, two aged in their 20s and one aged 30, will appear in the District Court today charged with disorderly behaviour as a result of the incident, which occurred near the C.M.L. building. The police have taken
possession of a hammer which was found near the injured man. The man’s name and condition were not available last evening. The police apprehended the three men about 30 minutes after the incident.
