Reporting to the branch engineer, the branch electrician is responsible for: — Contribute to total company performance by effectively planning, directing, controlling and co-ordinating the work of the electrical section. — Ensure the legality of company installation and maintenance procedures by the proper interpretation and application of statutory regulation and the updating of same. — Maximise the electrical section work performance through the proper training in industry skills, employee safety and protection of company assets being dominated in that performance. — Minimise peak power costing through the operation of load shedding procedures, ensuring meaningful liaison between power authority and plant requirements. REQUIREMENTS The position calls for a registered electrician with a strong background of supervisory and industrial experience, coupled with a sound knowledge of industrial electronics.
