The appointee will join a group of engineering personnel engaged in the development and implementation of Standard practices for the design and construction of substations, including investigation of new equipment supply and liaison with manufacturers, the development of the technical equipment supply specifcation, and production of information to guide design and construction staff. Qualifications required: N.Z. Certificate in Engineering (Electrical) or advanced study towards N.Z.C.E., with some design and construction site or manufacturing experience. The job involves evaluation of the operators’ programmes and performance and representing the company at technical and commercial meetings. The successful applicant must be a resident of New Zealand, will have a good all round knowledge of petroleum/production engineering, will have a relevant degree and a minimum of two years practical oil or gas field experience.
