The Last Time
Bawdy student humour, reminiscent of capping revues past, is the aim of a group of Canterbury University students staging this year’s revue.
It is the first revue in the last four years and the students want to rekindle the student tradition, said the publicity manager of the group, Jo Malcolm. The students — six performers and two musicians — want to provide enter-
tainment similar to previous revues. The skits have been written by the show’s director, Nick Kearney, although the group has worked on them also. The show is called “This Is The Last Time,” because it was the last time that the graduating students would be at the university, Ms Malcolm said.
The revue included skits on topical subjects including
feminists, the rugby tour to South Africa and Sam Hunt’s poetry. The revue will be performed this evening and Friday evening for the public in the Upper Common Room in the Students Union building, and tomorrow evening especially for those attending the graduation ball.
All performances begin at 8 p.m.
