Noise pollution
Sir,—Am I speaking for myself alone when I ask the question: Are there any regulations governing noise pollution? It seems to me that there is as much danger to our environment from noise pollution as there is from pollution by litter. It appears that there is an increasing number of people who delight in making as much noise as possible with their shrieking tyres and loud exhausts, both cars and motor-bikes, in order to attract attention to themselves. Do we have to submit day by day to having our ears bombarded by those who seem to have nothing better to do than to make as much noise as possible in these particular ways? — Yours, etc " JOHN KEITH.
