Solveig out for spell
PA Auckland Solveig will not compete in the Auckland Racing Club’s autumn meeting, con- ■ nections of the filly said yesterday. It was expected she would be in the Great Northern Breeders’ Oaks on the third day, April 13. The winner of the Wrightson Filly of the Year award is to be rested for the winter. Her co-trainer, Trevor McKee, said Solveig had been returned for a spell to the property of her owners, at Karaka, after the - Manawatu meeting last month. Solveig, with five wins from 11 starts and $91,375 in stakes, has had an outstanding second season. Her wins included the New Zealand Oaks, and the A.R.C. Royal Stakes.
