Tbe Paparua Countv Council has opposed a 15.8 per cent increase in its contribution to tbe Canterbury United Council’s 198586 budget, because it believes there are areas in the budget where costs could be cut Tbe Paparua council decided last evening to approve an increase of 12 per cent on last year’s contribution. This means an increase in Paparua’s contribution to tbe United Council from $62356 to $70,082. Tbe council also declined a request for a contribution towards tbe running of tbe Resource Centre.
