Armaments boost forecast
PA Wellington The New Zealand Party leader, Mr Jones, has today accused the Government of planning a big expenditure boost for military purposes. “The Prime Minister has accused the previous Government of running down our Armed Forces, yet he
never made this accusation when in Opposition,” Mr Jones said.
“What he is now doing is laying the groundwork to rationalise a huge military expenditure boost and the leaderless Opposition is naively being sucked into this by defending its previous position.
