ANY HACKERS PRESENT?
By
WHIM WHAM
Ignorant as I am of Computer Science With its High Technology, I regard Even the commonest Home or Office Appliance As a Mystery, too hard For the mere Software of my Cerebrum To penetrate. I’m told the Things Are programmed (whatever That means), They have Circuits, invisible Patternings, Keyboards, and Screens. Another World, of which I’m aware, But unable to enter — Gifted Kids, grown-up Hackers, may dare, The Computer Centre Is safe as the Grave from any Violation Or Trespass on my Part; Having neither the Equipment nor the Education, Where would I start?
Or how could I pry into my Neighbours’ Computerised Affairs? Unprogrammed, I get on with my Labours, As They with theirs. Sir, do YOU ever have the Feeling That Something inhuman is running the Show — Something Somebody’s Computer’s concealing, And WE don’t know? Something that Human Error can’t affect, Only some Fault of its own, Like a Circuit failing to connect — Or the wrong Switch thrown?
