THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT, 1977 BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY OPERATIVE DISTRICT SCHEME PUBLIC NOTICE OF CHANGES NO. 31,32 AND 35 THE Bay of Islands County Council has proposed three Changes to the Operative District Scheme. CHANGE NO. 31, introduces new rural subdivision policies and ordinances designed to facilitate horticultural subdivision into smaller lot sizes in appropriate circumstances, and also the voluntary conservation of bush (both proposals apply to all Rural zones). CHANGE NO. 32, allows produce stalls to be established as of right on county roads, and introduces design requirements for access to stalls, parking and signs. CHANGE NO. 35, sets out more fully the Council’s general subdlvlsional requirements and approval procedures. These are essentially “machinery" provisions and apply to both rural and urban zones when scheme plans of subdivision are submitted. The resolution. to initiate the Scheme Change was made by Council on November 21, 1984.
