THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT, 1977 BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY OPERATIVE DISTRICT SCHEME PUBLIC NOTICE OF CHANGES NO. 31,32 AND 35 THE Bay of Islands County Council has proposed three Changes to the Operative District Scheme. CHANGE NO. 31, introduces new rural subdivision policies and ordinances designed to facilitate horticultural subdivision into smaller lot sizes in appropriate circumstances, and also the voluntary conservation of bush (both proposals apply to all Rural zones). CHANGE NO. 32, allows produce stalls to be established as of right on county roads, and introduces design requirements for access to stalls, parking and signs. CHANGE NO. 35, sets out more fully the Council’s general subdlvlsional requirements and approval procedures. These are essentially “machinery" provisions and apply to both rural and urban zones when scheme plans of subdivision are submitted. The resolution. to initiate the Scheme Change was made by Council on November 21, 1984. The Changes to the District Scheme may be inspected at any of the following places, at any time those places are open to the Public. The County Office, Kawakawa. The Borough Council Office, Kaikohe. Submissions and objections to the Scheme Changes may be made by any body or person affected or representing some relevant aspect of the public interest. Submissions and objections shall be in writing on Form C, prescribed tn the Schedule of the Town and Country Planning Refulatlons, 1978, or to the like effect, and shall be lodged at the Office of the Council, not later than 4 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 1985. At a later date, every submission and objection will be open for public Inspection, and any body or person who wishes to support or oppose any submission or objection, will be entitled to do so. M.
