Sport.” The 626 scored twice as many votes as the runner-up in the reader poll. The Mazda 626 won with 32,560 votes. Then came to Citroen BX (15,354 votes), the Alfa Romeo 33 (14,645), Lancia Delta (11,234) and Fiat Ritmo (8059). This award was also won by the 626 in 1984, when it received 28 per cent of the votes cast.
