The successful applicant will be responsible to the Engineering Manager for the installation, maintenance and repair of all electrical and electronic equipment and services at our Christchurch site. Applicants must have a minimum of full N.Z. Electrical Registration, with experience in the installation and repair of electrical supply facilities, industrial controls and circuitry. Responsibilities also Include the organisiation and supervision of a small team of electricians, provision of adequate spares, backing, and liaison with specialist subcontractors. The nature of the position calls for a person with a wide range of electrical and supervisory skills who is capable of working with mlniumum supervision. Plans for plant modernisation are well advanced. These include a number of highly sophisticated electronic control systems. Practical experience in these fields would therefore be an advantage. Remuneration will be in accordance with the appointee’s qualifications and experience, and a superannuation scheme is available after a qualifying period.
