Exercising out of sight

A number of excellent videotapes are available to help you get into shape and stay that way. However, not all of them are suitable for every age and condition, so do take the time to ask the advice of the video library staff. Any exercise programme should be undertaken only after consultation with your doctor if you are in the older age group or if you suffer from any medical condition. The advantage of having these programmes on tape is that you can work at your own pace and stop the tape whenever you want to. You also get the feeling of having somebody with you as you exercise and this can be a real blessing for those who may not otherwise make the effort to do something about those tired muscles. Do remember to work at your own pace and do not be tempted to compete with the instructor, or you could do yourself an injury. We know of several cases where physiotherapy has been required by over-en-thusiastic videophile>drying to keep up with the action.
