A comprehensive range of industrial transmission equipment available from the Australian firm, Genat and Wood Pty. Ltd, incorporates unique features designed to keep downtime to a minimum. The company's range of geared and variable speed drives has many industrial applications — such as materials handling, pumping. packaging and general manufacturing. Genat and Wood variable speed drive units have four special features. The friction disc drives are fully reversible without loss of 'torque, and adjustable for drive cup wear. Cup replacement takes only 15 minutes and the
handwheel is interchangeable for left or right-hand control. The company's geared speed drives range from 0.37 kW to 55 kW with ar. output torque capacity up to &000 NM in foot' or'flange mount Tne units can be used in any mounting configuration. Tne product range also includes’ helical in-line reducers. mechanical friction disc variators and variablepitch pulley belt drives. To ensure that down-time is kept to a minimum, ail the company's drive units are manufactured from easily available components.’ All gearing equipment is manufactured from nickel
chromium alloy steel, case hardened for positive power transfer, and cross-axis shave to keep noise levels to
a minimum. Shafting is manufactured from high-grade tensile steel
