Snooker pair charged
AFP London Jimmy White and Alex Higgins, two of the world’s top snooker players, are to answer charges of bringing the game into disrepute when the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association mets on March 7.'
White is accused of misconduct at a Warrington Hotel in northern England last month, while Higgins is charged with using obscene language on television after beating the world champion, Steve Davis, in last week’s masters tournament at Wembley.
