Help in filling forms

Christchurch people who have problems filling out forms will soon be able to get help. The Citizens’ Advice Bureau and the Justices of the Peace Association are starting a free service to help people fill out forms. Justices of the Peace will give confidential advice on completing most forms. They will also attest a completed form where necessary.

Interpreters will be called if necessary for those with language difficulties.

Assistance will not be given for tax returns or forms requiring legal advice.

The service will begin on March 6, at the Citizens’ Advice Bureau rooms, 203 Gloucester Street, Initially the help will be available between 2 p.m. and 4.30 p.m on Wednesdays, but the timing may change when the demand for the service is known.
