Coach accepts
PA Hamilton The Claudelands Rovers soccer coach, Mr Roger Wilkinson, has accepted an invitation to aid the national team coach Kevin Fallon’s “think tank”. Mr Wilkinson will be one of nine area coaches throughout the country who will be responsible for the training and development of a squad of 50 players with national team potential.
The plan, put together by Mr Fallon and already considered by the New Zealand Football Association, is expected to be formally announced this week. “Kevin Fallon invited me to be part of his think tank and I have accepted as I agree in principle that it will be good for New Zealand soccer. I’m pleased to be involved with the New Zealand team,” Wilkinson said.
