The position primarily involves the supervision, control and detailing of the board’s construction programme which covers works in river control, flood protection, drainage and farm plans. However, investigation, survey and design work are also required, giving a broad range of duties. The person the board is seeking should preferably hold an N.Z.C.E., or equivalent, have experience in the construction field, preferably with a catchment authority, and be confident in dealing with the public.
