TV star dead
NZPA-Reuter London The British actor, lan Hendry, who played in more than 50 films and television series in a 30-year career, collapsed and died in London yesterday. He was 53. The craggy-faced actor’s films included “Live Now Pay Later,” “Get Carter,” “McKenzie Break” and, most recently, “Southern Cross.” He starred in the television series, “Police Surgeon,” and “The Lotus Eaters.” He had suffered from a throat disease for the last year but a hospital spokesman said that the cause of his sudden death was unknown.
