T.A.B. betting at the Rangiora Trotting Club’s summer meeting last Saturday was a record for the club. The total of $614,271 was up by $72,733 on 1983 when the club raced on a wet* Monday. The previous best total for a summer meeting on a
Saturday was in 1981 when the turnover was $412,440. The on-course total on Saturday was $272,158, an increase of $75,256 over 1983. The best on-course turnover at a summer meeting was $291,948 in 1981. There was no summer meeting in December 1982.
