Sex-change unions
A Vatican theologian says that sex-change operations are immoral and that marriages with transsexuals are invalid for the Catholic Church. Monsignor Carlo Caffarra, head of the Pope John Paul H Institute for Studies on Marriage and the Family at Rome’s Pontifical Lateran University, said during a seminar on transsexualism that sexchange operations were morally wrong because of the definitive loss of the capacity to procreate. Marrying a transsexual really meant marrying a person of the same sex. — Rome.
