Donations guarantee N.Z. display
PA Auckland Eighty New Zealand children’s books will be prominently displayed at an important West German exhibition next year.
By early last month the New Zealand Children’s Literature Association had raised only half the $2OOO needed to send the books to the International Youth Library at Blutenberg Castle in Munich. However, donations totalling $1450 from Auckland donors have now guaranteed that the books will go on show.
The lion’s share of the donations, $l2OO, was given by the industrialist, Mr Tom Clark, and his wife Trish. A further $2OO was given by Whitcoulls.
