Call for review
The former manager of the Marlborough Harbour Board, Mr M. J. Goulden, has applied to the High Court in Wellington through his solicitor for a judicial review of matters related to his dismissal by the board on October 26. Preliminary procedural matters were dealt with by the Court on November 9. The main hearing is expected to be in Blenheim in
early December. Mr Goulden has also appealed against his dismissal under section 45 of the Harbours Act which provides for appeal against dismissal, suspension, and other punitive measures. The procedure provides for notice of appeals being lodged with the secretary of the board and steps leading to the appointment of a judge to hear the appeal.
