Money offered
The parents of “Baby Fae," the child who received a transplanted baboon heart, are considering financial offers from news organisations and publications to tell their , story, said a hospital spokeswoman. The unidentified parents decided to accept the bids after organisations from around the world showed an interest in buying their story, said Joyce McClintock, a spokeswoman for Loma Linda University Medical Centre in California—Loma Linda.
