Investors can relax
The Budget axe has not fallen on investors. Two types of yield were likely to be affected, commentators were saying before the Budget. One was tax-free dividends, issued by companies from capital reserves. The other was special partnerships, mainly in horticulture ano racing, in which investors were able to obtain tax write-offs against their own income. Neither investment has been affected.
