Hunt in 4th week
A huge police hunt for a poison candy gang, has entered its fourth week with 40,000 men mobilised across the country. The gang, which calls itself “The Man With 21 Faces,” has been trying to extort $820,000 from the Morinaga Confectionery Company. In a letter sent to newspapers last week, the gang taunted the police for their lack of success and asked, “How long can you go on mobilising 40,000 men? It’s a battle of endurance ... why don’t you give up.”— Tokyo.
