Quiz contest for children
Book vouchers will be prizes for a general knowledge quiz competition for Junior Press readers. Entry is open to children up to and including those at intermediate school. There are two sections — under 10 years, and 10 years and over. “The Press” will give book vouchers of ?5 and $2 for first and second in each section. The quiz includes questions on a wide variety of subjects and it may be necessary to research some of the questions in encyclopedias or at, a library. Entries close at 4 p.m. on Monday, November 12. No entries will be opened until after that date. ■] They will then be marked at random. Prizes Will; be awarded to the first two
correct entrants in each section. Only one entry is allowed per person. The immediate families of employees of “The Press” are not eligible to enter. Two separate quizzes are listed below. Be sure to answer the questions in the quiz for your age group. Write your answers on a sheet of paper headed with the following details: Section (under 10 years, or 10 years and over), name, age, address, telephone number, signature of parent, guardian or teacher.
