Guidelines produced for health and safety

PA Wellington The Health Department’s occupational health and toxicology branch has produced new guidelines for the health and safety of workers in the electroplating industry. They were compiled by a working party comprising representatives of the Federation of Labour, the Employers’ Federation, the Accident Compensation Corporation and the Health and Labour departments. The head of occupational health, Dr John Stoke, said that the guidelines provided practical suggestions to ensure that the health of

workers was safeguarded.
