Clean sweep for pony stud
A year ago, the pony showing classes provided the Clifton pony stud (McLeans Island) with a clean sweep in all three groups, as the stud eitherimported or bred the winning ponies. Rosevean Eagles Isle and Rosevean Merry Caper, the winners of Group A and B respectively, will both be seen in the show ring this week, although Rosevean Eagle Isles will be ridden by Miss Simone Koster in-
stead of Julian Bowden, who was successful a year ago. ■ Nicholas Bowden, Julian’s brother, will again team with Rosevean Merry Caper in the Group B competitions, but last year’s winning Group C pony, Clifton Coral, has not been entered this time. The stud could still repeat its winning feat, however, as several of the ponies entered in Group C were bred there. The standard of this year’s competition should again be very high.
