22 entered for rich N.Z. Cup
The great Australian stayer, Gammalite, is among 22 nominations received by the Metropolitan Trotting Club for the $125,000 New Zealand Cup, which will be run at Addington Raceway at 3.40 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6. The Victorian trotter, Skipper Don, has been entered for the main events for horses of his gait, races in which he will meet the two star New Zealand performers, Basil Dean and Sir Castleton. Gammalite and Skipper Don have been tentatively booked to travel to Christchurch on November 2, but arrangements have yet to be confirmed. Entries for the Cup are: Hilarious Guest, Enterprise, Hands Down, Te Puke Expects, Dillon Dale, Our Mana, Camelot, Diamond Moose, Derby, Double Cove, Supreme Ruler, Borana, Spanker On, Gammalite, Trilobal, Dryden Amanda, Agrinion, Norton, Mighty Me, Stampede, Zabadak, Stortford Lodge.
