Appeal withdrawn

The appeal by the Blenheim owner-trainer, Peter Hope, against the relegation of his horse, Good To Win, from first to sixth in the first Sires’ Stakes elimination heat at Addington Raceway on Wednesday has been withdrawn. Good To Win broke with about 750 m to run and interfered with a number of runners. Subsequently it was found that Good To Win had broken down and it is possible an operation will be necessary to remedy the trouble.
