PA Wellington The Minister of Education, Mr Marshall, said yesterday that school committee representatives could attend the conference to be held on December 11 and 12 on the integration of private schools. The president of the School Committees’ Federation, Ms Maureen Bamford, said the inclusion of her organisation was a big success. It followed up the Minis-
ter’s earlier decision to include school committees in the review of the social studies syllabus and represented further acceptance by the Government of the principle that parents should be involved in the drafting of education policies. Other participants at the conference will include education and secondary school boards, teachers’ organisa-. tions, and the proprietors of integrated schools.
