Wages rose 3.1 p.c.
Wellington reporter Wages rose 3.1 per cent in the year ended September, according to the nominal weekly index. The Statistics Department figures show that the upward movement reflects the $8 cost-of-living allowance handed out by the former National Government and effective from April 1.
