Chilling story on radio tonight
“Passing Time,” (National programme, 8.45 tonight), a play by Rhys Adrian, is a touching but chilling story about two old men finishing their days in a sunset home. Both are of an age to have taken part in World War One, but they do not have connected memories, and one of them seems unable to remember whether he was in the Army or not
The other evidently was; the thing that has stayed with him is the strange death of a man, perhaps a deserter from another unit, who suddenly appeared among them on the eve of an attack during which he was killed. Alex Trousdell and Alan Jervis take the main roles in this Radio New Zealand production.
