Taranaki oilfield flow in millions
PA New Plymouth Taranaki’s oilfields will pour about $lO million a month into the coffers of Petrocorp. The company’s chairman, Mr Frank Orr, said yesterday that the McKee production station would come on stream in about a. week. It would treat about 4000 barrels of oil daily from the McKee and nearby Pouri fields. The oil and gas from those fields would be worth about $lO million a month to Petrocorp, he said. The McKee project had gone ahead very well in terms of both cost and time. “We may be a few days over schedule.” Production from the two othef nearby oil-gas fields, PuKSpai and Tuhuaa, would also‘begin soon, he said.
