Murder charge remands
PA Auckland Two men charged with the murder of Donald Stewart Corby were remanded yesterday in custody to Palmerston North until October 29. Russell Frederick Graham, aged 18, a labourer, and Manu Aperahama Royal, aged 25, a cleaner, both of Palmerston North, were jointly charged in the District Court at Auckland with the murder of Mr Corby between October 19 and 20. Graham and Royal were also jointly charged with a third man, whose name was suppressed, with robbing Frederick George Redfearn of a watch and a cap on or about October 20. Sergeant Peter Hawke said the police sought a week’s remand to Palmerston North and opposed bail. Judge Callander granted the police -request
