model of Donald Duck yesterday in preparation for the Farmers’ Trading'Company Santa Parade next month'. About 15 large floats would be featured in this year’s parade, which would be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 18, said Mr Soutter, who is producing the event. The main float, which will lead the parade, will be the Farmers’ seventy-fifth anniversary float, All the floats are made
by four Farmers’ staff who spend about six months working towards each parade. The rest of the year they do sign work and shop fitting for the store. This year’s parade will be the thirty-seventh for the store. The parade was originally held on a week day, but then transferred to Saturdays. Last year was the first time it had been held on a Sunday, a change that was made because of interference with Saturday trading.
