This comprises serving the information needs of research and technical staff, of the building industry in New Zealand and managing the association’s library. Liaison with industry is an integral aspect of the post and is the probable growth area as appropriate technology develops. The Association is preparing a feasibility study on computerising its information services with a view to expanding into areas and means of communicating not presently available. The successful applicant will be qualified in a suitable discipline and will develop current concepts into practical solutions. The building research association is an independent organisation which conducts research on building science and technology and provides an advisory and information service to the building industry.
