PA Auckland Sales for Holeproof Industries, Ltd, in the first quarter of the financial year were. 14.8 per cent ahead of the corresponding period last year, according to the company’s chairman, Mr W. Wilson. He told shareholders at the annual meeting in Auckland yesterday that he expected the result for the first half would be better than for the previous corresponding period. Mr Wilson said that, while the company would be concentrating on the domestic market, it was intended to restart the export drive in the present financial year. The company was in a strong cash position and would be introducing several new products to the market this financial year. In reply to a question from a shareholder, Mr I. H. Clark, a board representative of Dunlop Olympic of Australia, said Dunlop Olympic had no intention of either increasing or decreasing its 84 per cent stake in Holeproof. Mr Clark said his company had enjoyed a good relationship with the minority shareholders for a number of years.
