Vincent heads judo team
Bill Vincent, of Inglewood, named yesterday as the New Zealand Judo Federation’s “Judoka of the Year” for 1984, heads the New Zealand team for the inaugural Australian Games in Melbourne in late January. Vincent, aged 27, was the only member of the New Zealand judo team to get past the first round at the Los Angeles Olympics. The team for the Australia Games was announced at the end of the national championships in Christchurch yesterday. It is:
