Chess match drawn
NZPA-AFP Moscow The fifteenth game in the world chess championship, between the title holder, Anatoly Karpov, and his fellow Soviet Garry Kasparov, has been drawn on the ninety-third move. The draw, the sixth in succession, came on the proposition of Karpov, aged 33, playing with the white pieces. ?
The game, adjourned on the forty-first move on Friday, was the longest so far of the series, which began on September 10. Karpov, still leads, 4-0, and needs two more wins to retain his title. The sixteenth game, in which Kasparov, the 21-year-old challenger, will have the white pieces, is scheduled for today.
