Record price for steer
A record $1620 was paid for a prime steer at the Addington market yesterday. The steer, a Simmental, was one of two which exceeded the previous record of $1504.
The record steer was sold on behalf of L. J. G. White, of Teddington, by Dalgety Crown, Ltd, and bought by the Canterbury Frozen Meat Company, Ltd. Market report, page 26
