Contest entrants
Three of the entrants in the “Miss Canterbury ’B5” contest, to be held at the Winter Garden in November, hand in their application forms at the Spotlite Model Agency yesterday. They are (from left), Yvonne Jordan, aged 18, Alisa Hodder, aged 21, and Lea Houghton, aged 19, all of Christchurch. The regional contest has been brought forward to fit in with changes to the “Miss New Zealand” final which
will be held in February or March next year instead of September as in previous years. The change will also allow more time for “Miss New Zealand” to prepare herself for the “Miss World” contest to be held in London in November next year.
