$1600 to fund
Officers of the United States and Australian forces based in Christchurch for the Triad exercise gave a cheque for $l6OO last evening for the Christchurch Brevet Club’s Spitfire Restoration Fund. The cheque was presented during a farewell function at Wigram R.N.Z.A.F. base. The Brevet Club has launched an appeal to raise $30,000 to build a new replica Spitfire aircraft to replace the one damaged by fire last week-end. Spitfire fund, page 9
