Kirk relatives express concern
PA Tauranga Mount Maunganui relations of the former member of Parliament, Mr John Kirk, would give almost anything to speak to Mr Kirk and his wife, Yvonne, now believed to be in the United States.
Mr Stan Redit, an uncle of Mrs Kirk, said he and his wife had been concerned for the Kirks since their disappearance from New Zealand on July 7. They said Mrs Kirk had
been like a daughter to them. Mrs Kirk’s parents, Walter and Ivy Redit, both died in a car accident seven years ago. The Redits said it was totally uncharacteristic of their niece intentionally to leave debts anywhere. "We are very concerned about Yvonne,” said Mr Redit.
“If we had the ready cash we would whip over to see her... I would like to spend just half an hour with her.”
