Public Notices H ELLESMERE COUNTY COUNCIL ELLESMERE COUNTY COUNCIL - FENCING OF PRIVATE SWIMMING POOLS BYLAW NO. 2 1984 PUBLIC NOTICE Is hereby given that the Ellesmere County Council, at a Special Meeting held on Monday, August 20, 1984, passed the following resolution. “That In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested In it by the Local Government Act, 1984, and all amendments thereto, and all other Acts enabling It In that behalf, the Ellesmere County Council hereby resolves to adopt by way of Special Order a Bylaw for the fencing of private swimming pools within the County of Ellesmere to be known as the Ellesmere County Fencing of Private Swimming Pools Bylaw No. 2, 1984.” The purpose of this bylaw is to prevent unsupervised access to swimming pools by children under 5 years of age and to thus reduce the risk of their drowning. It Is hereby further publicly notified that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an Ordinary meeting of the Council to be held In the Council Chambers, Leeston, at 11.00 a.m. on Monday, October 15, 1984, for confirmation by way of Special Order.
